Reggie Becton is a breath of fresh air, with a hint of something smooth lingering from the past that you truly miss when compared to the trap-infused R&B of today. The 25-year-old PG County, MD native discovered the sounds of Marvin Gaye, Prince, Avant, Brandy and Tank at the young age of 17 and since then has worked with and been mentored by musicians who have written for some of the top voices in R&B, allowing him to craft a sound that is a unique fusion of classic R&B and new wave soul.
In 2017, Reggie moved to LA with a dollar, a dream, and an air mattress and crafted his debut mixtape Timing, while sharing a one-bedroom Air BNB with close friends. Timing is an intimate telling of his innermost thoughts and fears over stripped-back production, bursting with powerful vocals. Most recently, his 2018 summer cover series garnered the attention from the likes of Dru Hill, Marsha Ambrosius, and was spotlighted by COLORS Worldwide.
Currently, Reggie Becton is preparing for a groundbreaking year in 2018. He is hard at work on his new EP, Phases, due out October 31, 2018 and when he is not working on Phases you can find him co-writing tracks and working with artists and newly signed talent at major labels like Atlantic Records.
